 GUIDELINES FOR WRITING ARTICLES

  1. Articles received are articles that have never been published in any journal in the form of or have not been accepted (accepted) for publication

  2. Articles in the form of community service that have relevance to the field of education, human resource development, health, human development and national competitiveness, small and medium enterprises and development of environmentally sound technology and appropriate technology.
    The article is accompanied by a statement of authenticity from the author stating that the article was written is truly his own work and does not contain plagiarism.

Writing system

  1. Articles consist of 3000-5000 words, typed with spaces 1,15 on A4 size paper with Goudy Old style font size 11. Writing that will be loaded using Indonesian and English
  2. The composition of the article consists of: Title, Writer, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusions and Bibliography.

Article Writing Conditions:

Title: The title is typed in the letters Goudy Old Style , 14 letters are flat left ordinary print. The title must be concise, clear, and informative, not exceeding 20 words. It should directly reflect the core issue discussed, avoiding uncommon abbreviations. The main idea should appear first, followed by its supporting explanation.

Author's name: The authors name or the writers are typed under the title with Goudy Old Style 11 font in bold, without titles and may not be abbreviated. Under the name is written the field of expertise, institution name, and email of the author.

Abstract: no more than 200 words, written in English and Indonesian, in a paragraph containing: the purpose of service, methods of activity, and results of activities. Typed with Bookman Oldstyle font, single-spaced, and italicized. Under the abstract there are keywords with a maximum of 5 words, separated by semicolons, double spaced typed under the abstract. For research articles, the abstract should provide a concise and relevant summary of the study. Authors are encouraged to follow a structured format without using section headings: (1) Background – present the research question in a broad context and emphasize the study’s significance; (2) Purpose of the Study – state the main aim and objectives; (3) Methods – briefly describe the primary methods or theoretical framework used; (4) Results – summarize the key findings; and (5) Conclusions – highlight the main conclusions or interpretations derived from the study. Keywords: Provide three to five relevant keywords that accurately reflect the article’s main themes. The keywords should be specific to the study yet commonly used within the discipline. Write them in lowercase, except for proper nouns or names.

Introduction: Introduction is typed in capital letters [fonts Goudy Old Style11 bold] containing background to addressing a problem, urgency, and rationalization of activities, literature review, problem-solving plan, and purpose of activity. For research article, the introduction should briefly place the study within a broad context and emphasize its importance. It must clearly define the purpose and significance of the research. The current state of the research field should be carefully reviewed, with key publications appropriately cited. When relevant, highlight any existing debates or contrasting hypotheses. Conclude the section by stating the main aim of the study and summarizing the principal conclusions. The introduction should remain accessible to readers from related disciplines. References should be cited as (Santoso, 2021) or (Rahman et al., 2020) or (Wijaya, 2018; Lestari & Pratama, 2021; Yusuf, 2019; Nugroho, 2017) or (Hasan & Dewi, 2022, p. 45) or Suryana (2015). See the reference section for further details on citation style. Technical terms must be defined, and all symbols, abbreviations, and acronyms should be explained upon first use. Tables and figures should be cited in numerical order. The introduction should also include a brief description of the research method, covering the study’s approach, participants or subjects, research procedures, materials and instruments used, as well as data collection and analysis techniques. Method: The research method explains: implementation methods used in service activities. The method is described clearly and in detail. For research article the Method section must be written clearly, concisely, and systematically so that the study can be understood and replicated by other researchers. This section should cover all key stages of the research, from the chosen approach to the data analysis techniques. Authors should explain the research approach and design, indicating whether it is quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods, as well as the specific design applied (e.g., cross-sectional, experimental, case study, or survey). The rationale for selecting the design should align with the research objectives. Authors must also specify the location and time of the study to provide clear contextual information. This section should also describe the population and sample, including the characteristics of the target population, inclusion and exclusion criteria, sampling technique (random, purposive, or stratified), sample size, and the method used to determine it. Authors must present the instruments and materials used in the study, such as questionnaires, observation sheets, or laboratory equipment, and include information on validity and reliability testing when relevant. The research procedure should then be described step-by-step, covering preparation, data collection, and completion stages, along with ethical considerations such as informed consent and ethical approval when human or animal subjects are involved. Next, authors should describe the data collection techniques used interviews, observations, experiments, or surveys along with who conducted the data collection and under what conditions. The section should conclude with the data analysis techniques. For quantitative studies, specify the statistical methods and software used (e.g., SPSS, Stata) and the level of significance applied. For qualitative studies, explain the analysis method such as thematic or content analysis. If the research involves human or animal participants, the research ethics section must include the name of the institution granting ethical approval and describe how confidentiality and participants’ rights were protected. Results and Discussion: Describing the results or outcomes of service can be in the form of increasing knowledge, skills or in the form of products. The results also reveal the level of achievement of the target activities. If in the form of objects there needs to be an explanation of product specifications, advantages, and disadvantages. Output writing needs to be equipped with photos, tables, graphs, charts, pictures, etc. The discussion is sequential in the order in which the objectives are and has been explained beforehand. The discussion is accompanied by a logical argument by linking the results of community service with the theory, the results of other community service and or research results. For research article results and discussion section presents the main findings of the study in a concise, objective, and analytically sound manner. Authors should display the results clearly using text supported by tables, graphs, or figures that enhance data comprehension. Each table and figure must be numbered sequentially and accompanied by a clear, informative caption. The results should not merely report data but also interpret them in line with the research objectives. The discussion should connect the findings with relevant theories, previous studies, and empirical evidence. Authors are expected to explain the meaning of the results, the patterns or relationships observed, and possible factors influencing the outcomes. In addition, the discussion should highlight consistencies or discrepancies between the current findings and earlier studies, providing scientific explanations for any differences. Unexpected results should also be addressed logically. Authors are encouraged to emphasize how the findings contribute to advancing knowledge, informing policy, or improving practice within the field. This section may conclude with a concise summary of the key findings that lead naturally into the study’s conclusions, without restating all data in detail.

Conclusion: written briefly but describes the substance of the results of dedication and recommendations for subsequent service activities. For reserach article conclusion section should be concise and directly aligned with the research objectives. It must summarize the key findings derived from the analysis and discussion, rather than simply restating the results. Authors should clearly emphasize the scientific contribution of their study, whether theoretical, methodological, or practical. When relevant, recommendations for future research, policy formulation, or practical applications may be included, provided they are consistent with the study’s findings. Reference: Bibliography is written based on the APA 7th (American Psychological Association) model. It is highly nested using the Reference manager (end note, Mendeley, Zotero, etc.) to facilitate editing and review.
